The Madness of Mickey Rourke

Imagine, after years of struggling to make it as a performer, you find yourself in the category of 'hot young male actor'. It happened to Mickey Rourke and he self destructed in the most awful of ways in the early 90s. In the latter part of the decade, he resurfaces looking radically different. Below is what we are left with, his once handsome looks vanished and in their place, strangely stretched skin, a boxer's ravished nose, and oddly set eyes, baring no resemblance to the sultry pair he used in the halycon period of his career to seduce the masses of females, and an overall hardness to his face which transported him from the handsome leading man category to the character actor genre filled denizens bearing quirky looks.

Does Mickey feel the sting of no longer being a hottie? Rumor has it that lucky ladies can be taken to celebrity events in exchange for pretending to be his girlfriend. Due I give credence to this rumor? Well, I have not seen him photographed with the the same girl more than once and have heard no stories of him having a steady girlfriend (beyond Carre Otis years ago, whom he is alleged to have treated unkindly).
