Barring the ethnic aspect, I think she looks somewhat similar to Jessica. She probably always thought she did anyway and now’s a good excuse to go the whole hog, so to speak. I’m constantly astounded at the things people will put themselves through.

Diego, the double eyelid surgery is a sad fad in Asia (I live in Tokyo, I see it everyday). It just makes these Japanese women look like bimbos. My friend had it done and it was the biggest waste of money (about $1800)… she already had big eyes but was pressured by her idiot co-workers (prostitutes! not even kidding) that she would look better. Japanese women have beautiful, mysterious eyes naturally, I don’t know why they would want to look like four-year-olds…

I’m surprised by the negativity on this website about this girl. Has anybody read about the ex’s behavior? You’re right, he NEVER asked her to get the surgery. BUT he forced her to wear the wig 24/7 (he threatened to dump her otherwise), and he repeatedly told her that she needed to look like Jessica Alba in order to keep him. Also, it was her group of “friends” who suggested the surgeries after they failed to cheer her up from the split.

Nobody knows the whole story except for those involved, but as far as I see it: this is a very sad girl with low self-esteem, whose friends are as disgusting as her ex-boyfriend is. Sadly, this is a very pretty girl who probably has a lot of great qualities, but she fails to realize it because the people around her constantly knock her down. She needs to forget the ex, dump her friends, get into therapy, and find genuine people who can lift her up and push her on the right path. Psychologically, she’s been convinced that she needs to look like Jessica Alba in order to have any amount of self-worth. This is through no fault of her own. But what she does need to do is wake up and face reality.

It’s a damn shame that Asians have fallen into the plastic surgery craze to look “perfect”. Most are now flocking to South Korea, the plastic surgery capital of Asia where 90% of their entertainers have gone under the knife. The only good news is they don’t do it to look white, but to be more attractive.

Flynn I’ve read this on many other sites as well so awfulplasticsurgery isn’t making this up. It’s also stupid to say that Jessica Alba got surgery to look like Angelina Jolie. Jessica was a child actor and her face has ALWAYS looked the same, she has always had big lips etc. I don’t think she got any surgery. I agree with everybody else here that this girl shouldn’t mess with her face just to win some boyfriend back.

The story has been reported by Reuters and Fox News, and I would assume they have fact checkers and someone who can translate the woman’s interviews to find out what she’s really saying about the matter. Below are links to two video interviews, the first with the UK’s ITN News. Seems legit to me. Asian women undergo the eyelid surgery probably more often than American women get boob jobs. The nose procedure is really common too. I live in the CA Bay Area, and I know more than a few Asian girls who’ve had the eyelid surgery, and one who’s had the nose job too. To her credit, she’s freakin’ beautiful, but I didn’t know her before. Although I said the story *seems* legit, I think it’s very possible that since Xiaoqing already looks like an Asian version of Alba, and westernizing her features can only make her more so, someone might be making this up or exaggerating the real story with the promise of some free surgery. Note that I say “someone” and not “Xiaoging.” The Shanghai Time Plastic Surgery Hospital has already admitted they’re doing it for free to “showcase their skills.” Nothing like a controversial story to churn up a boatload of free publicity and attract more clients. Although I don’t understand Mandarin, Xiaoging sounds like a reasonably smart girl and if someone told her, “Agree to this story and we’ll do all your work for free,” I think she’d say yes without hesitation.
