There are quite a few years between the photos. It appears that she’s lost her baby fat. It also appears that she’s had her chin done along with the other procedures. She’s in a competitive business based on a youthful look, and is trying to appear as young as possible. It’s a business expense.

I have found very disturbing that she had major facial surgery in 2000, when she was only 34 or 35 years old. As I’m a year older than her, I wonder how she will look at 50 or 60 if she keeps on ruining that face, that was always beautiful and shiny.
She is not comfortable in her own skin, which is always sad.

all i can say is that she cold pull her eyebrows up to her hairline and she would still be far better looking than Katie Holmes. Nicole has to be a touch acti to follow and I just heard little suri is now 4 years old which means Katie has only 6 more years before divorce.

Every time I look at Nicole Kidman’s upper lip I cringe, because it’s just so pulled and stretched out that you see the gum line.. lips shouldn’t be so taut that you see the gum line like that. It’s like the lip is trying to curl upward and it’s being held down by the sheer weight of the implants

Yeah her lips look a little wonky, but I’m just glad she’s gone back to red. The blonde hair was terribly aging on her, and she just looks better and more natural as a ginger.

Unfortunately her lips have lost their natural cupid’s bow and now just look weird…and her forehead just looks terrible. That being said I do give her kudos for keeping her skin healthy and sun-free.
And as a side note, Nicole is actually a blond. I definitely think the red hair looks better, though.

i read that she has a new manager or something and he’s gonna have her stop her botox injections. don’t know how true that is, but i like to hope it’s true. i’m sad she decided to get so much surgery, she used to be so beautiful!

She’s naturally a strawberry blonde. Natural redheads (or strawberries) never look good as blondes. ( I would argue that only blondes look good as blondes, but that’s a whole ‘nother issue!) Anyway, about the lips, they look awful. it almost looks as if her top lip is upside down, with the cupid’s bow on the bottom. The only facial surgery I thought she actually needed was whatever they did to get rid of that gummy smile. Otherwise, nothing, not even botox, has been what I would call an improvement.

Looking at Kidman’s before and after shot, in my opinion it looks like she has dentures. Her gums are a fake shade of pink, too flat and porcelain looking. I think she gets injections in her lips because there isn’t enough of a difference in the size of her lips to be an implant. I think she’ll always be beautiful though!

Nicole is still beautiful, but too much plastic looking, for sure. These middle aged women in Hollywood should follow the steps of Sigourney Weaver….a natural looking and nevertheless striking beautiful 60 years old girl! looks better than many plastic 40’s!

Her teeth look fine and I don’t have a problem too much with the lower lip, but the upper lip is a mess. It sort of looks like it was shaped from Play-Doh. Cupid has lost her bow.

I agree that the chin has been reshaped to appear less angular and there are cheek implants as well. I think the first work was done between her films “Dead Calm” and the Batman film, where she looks like an entirely different person. Producers probably told her it was the only way to get a starring role in a film that did not involve her husband at the time, because she wasn’t seen as “commercially attractive” enough.

I will never forget watching To Die For in 1995 and wondering “What the hell did Tom Cruise do to this woman?”… It was Nicole’s first big Hollywood flick and It was sooo obvious she had her teeth and lips done for the part.

She doesn’t look too bad in these pictures. I never thought she was beautiful, but that she had her own distinctive look that was pleasing. I think all her surgeries were failed attempts to be perfect. Having individuality in ones appearance can be a good thing.

I actually don’t think she looks too bad. As long as she doesn’t increase the lips anymore and doesn’t do too much botox she could age gracefully. She has beautiful skin and eyes, and the red hair looks wonderful on her. I hope she doesn’t do anything else because she still is beautiful.

As for the gum line, she might have receeding gums. In general, people with thin lips don’t have a good result when they make them bigger. She looks like someone hit her in the lip and it’s unevenly swollen. I don’t get it how a woman who has classic beauty- the kind that most women would kill to have, would mess with herself like this.

Nicole is a natural redhead, and going back to that color is certainly an improvement.
She still has lovely bone structure but its sad that everything is pulled so tight and botoxed and everything – her face never moves! When she was pregnant with little Sunday Rose, she gained a bit of weight and stopped all the procedures for a bit – and looked AMAZING!!!! Too bad she went right back to the knife/needle.

Although she’s had a bit done here and there…I don’t believe it’s as much as people think, or that you claim here. She wears INCREDIBLY thick makeup, and that makes a difference.

The only thing she’s had done with her teeth is she’s had them whitened… if you compare her teeth in both pics, they look the same, compare the canine on the left (our left) it’s the same dimentions and and everything, the only difference being is she’s smiling a bit more in the second pic.

Her top lip looks like it has had too much collagen injected at the base of the top lip (perhaps to hide those gums?). The result makes it appear that her top lip is melting and dripping downward. ew.

Other than her chin looking a wee bit rounder, I really don’t see anything that couldn’t be explained away by natural aging. Possibly some botox, but if so, it’s not out of control. I’d like to see her with the curls again – that might soften her appearance a little.

Nicole was beautiful in a non conventional way when she was younger, and still is, sort of, but it looks like she’s not only tried to defy age, but also to transform herself into someone else, a more common sort of beauty. Specially when she was blonde. I believe she would’ve aged beatifully, without much sugery. She’s got great bone structure, great hair and a long and slender body. All the surgery has made her look a bit like Jack Nickolson. I hope she stops before it’s too late.

I think she is looking better lately than she had at one point–she had some of the worst plastic surgery ever! Truly hideous. She just needs a better hairstyle to cover her gigantic forehead/bad hairline. She could look cute with a better cut!

I agree with Frau. She was beautiful in her own unique way. She wasn’t the blonde bombshell, which made us take notice of her. I loved her when I was a little girl. Now, she just looks like she’s trying to be like everyone else in Hollywood. Her nose and lips were perfect before. I wish I could see just one Hollywood actress own her beauty and grow old gracefully. These women are all going to look liike wax figures when they’re 60.

Actually – Staff and commenters – aside from a facial peel which she vowed never to have done again because it was too painfull – and a couple of botox sessions, Nic has had NO facial augmentations done at all. She is still as natural as the day she was born with the exception of the following: A make-up artist who clearly has no concept of STOP PLUCKING, a hair stylist and a life that is far more hectic now she’s a full time mum, wife, still an actress and frontwoman for a number of childrens charities – oh and yes she did get a bit older, so naturally her skin would be less glowy and perfect.

I think there is general agreement that Nicole has gone way overboard on surgery/botox/fillers, etc. However, I don’t see anything “awful” about it. No disastrous lips, startled eyes, inflated implants, etc. She definitely looks cyrogenically preserved, but, hey, if that’s what she wants, let her have it. Her acting career (never a big success, despite the undeserved Oscar for Hours – the fake nose won that Oscar) is over.

I do take exception to the site calling her out for having porcelain veneers. Nobody arrives in Hollywood with perfectly straight, startlingly white teeth. Since the beginning of movies, the first step the studios would take with potential new stars is to whisk them to a dentist to give them those teeth. I doubt there is an actor (character or leading) who has their own teeth. I don’t think of it as plastic surgery – it just comes with the territory. Also, with modern dentistry, getting your mouth “fixed” – I’m not referring to one’s lips – is a good thing for your health.
