A Finland airline company is offering plastic surgery incentives to frequent flyers. Breast implants, hair replacement surgery or a face-lift are available via the company’s customer incentive program. Customers wishing to use air miles for enhancement surgery must first book a 95-euro consultation at the hospital before using loyalty points for the voucher.
Finnair has been unprofitable for five consecutive quarters, posting a 20.7 million-euro ($30.8 million) net loss in the three months through September. Finnair shares have dropped 19 percent this year, valuing the carrier, which is 55.8 percent owned by the state, at 506 million euros.

Bad enough people go to third world countries for procedures, why would someone have it done as part of an advertising stunt? They should be made to sign a waiver, there WILL be lawsuits later.
oh yes, this really happens in my home country. i just laughed at the whole thing, i think this is ridiculous. and what i understood from this “free plastic surgery” thing… you need to, for example, fly about 300 times from Helsinki to Beijing before you can afford the plastic surgery with the points you get from each flight. as i said, ridiculous.

Also it doesn’t seem any different from other advertising stunts: some people do have to fly a lot because of their work, and those people are – according to the stereotype – the ones who get themselves cut and tightened the most. I can’t see anything bad about cosmetic surgeries as long as they don’t change the person’s looks completely and the person isn’t completely addicted to it. I’ve always wanted to get my ears fixed as they point outwards, and people judge me due that without even knowing my personality. Could someone explain to me what’s the big deal? It’s not like Finland is some third world country even if it is small and next to Russia.

Hey, not everyone in the United States is big on plastic surgery. Please don’t lump us normal people in with the ridiculousness that is Hollywood (which is such a small blip in our country.) It’s no wonder that we’re called, “The Great Satan,” – all anyone ever sees of us is what comes from movie makers and celebrities, but in reality, the much larger percentage lives just fine while growing old gracefully and living without Prada and Gucci and all the other ridiculously high priced labels are.
