crazy like a fox. i know Ms Lepore, and she’s the sweetest person in all of clubland. she’s had a rough life, and is totally in on her looks. she is not trying to be the next pretty girl., she’s a piece of performance art and is a glorious human being. i’m cracking up at the comments here that seem to think she’s trying to be ‘beautiful’ or ‘turn back the clock’ like every other pathetic actress on this site. Seconded (or thirded) – Amanda Lepore is a very self-aware transgendered female and does not belong here as nothing about her surgeries have gone “wrong.” She is going for “bombshell cartoon” and it’s kind of cool.

For those siding with Amanda Lepore…isn’t ironic that we don’t defend Wildenstein for her looks and claim her surgeries as art? After all, she does have her specific intentions of what she wants to look like and has gotten numerous surgeries because of it. Well anyways, to each their own.

Ashley: it’s not ironic at all. Ms Wildenstein has had several botched surgeries,which is what this site is about. i guarantee you she does not look the way she wants to. i feel sorry for her. Amanda is exactly the way she wants to be, and works her look every single minute of the day. I’m not saying that there isn’t anything inherently creative about a 70+ year old woman wanting to look like a cat, and having the wherewithal to attempt it, but it’s not performance art. Purrformance art purrhaps….

Ashley, I think it’s because Amanda Lepore is an entertainer and that’s her schtick, it’s part of the persona of how she wants to present herself during her acts. Wildenstein, however, is a society wife/ex-wife who had the surgery to get her husband to love her again. She was SO beautiful before she started messing around with her face… that’s why some of us are horrified over Wildenstein because of how she destroyed her beautiful face.

I side with Amanda as she knows what she is and The Cat Lady doesn’t. Plus Amanda’s surgeries actually have turned out okay vs. Cat Lady’s are hideous.
I think Amanda shoudl stop before she screws herself up though. Anymore and it will start looking Pete Burn-ish.
