Madonna – Madame Tussaud’s couldn’t top this

previous post: Sammy Sosa gets the Michael Jackson makeover – wow, looks like crap -- next post: My face, my face, it doesn’t move.

Madonna is now essentially the wax work version of her 1990 self. The artificially plumped cheeks, chin implant, face lift, etc combines to form a scary mask. Even Madame Tussaud’s wax museum could not have done a better job.

As much as I can’t stand Madonna, I have to admit I think she looks amazing. She’s 51 years old.I would much rather look like this than have a sagging face, circles and crows feet.

Comment by pat — November 9, 2009 at 5:14 am

i am not a madonna fan, but i have to say that sometimes i just don’t know what you are talking about … madonna looks great!

Comment by Candy — November 9, 2009 at 6:05 am

Anybody who has enough money can pay to look like a wax figure. Sick sick sick Anyone see her hands or arms lately? Horrible – like an 80 yr old senior citizen.

Comment by 62831 — November 9, 2009 at 6:12 am

She does look amazingly good for her age. Compared to some of the freaks of nature that have been on this site *cough*OritFux*cough*, Madonna is a breath of fresh air!

Comment by Amy — November 9, 2009 at 6:32 am

She doesn’t look bad, but she has make up on her face, I don’t know does she look without it. And it seems to me she’s had also an eye-lift.

Comment by ZombieWatcher — November 9, 2009 at 6:42 am

At least she’s not showing her terrifying zombie claw hands. Her hands really, seriously give away her age. Hell, her hands give away the age of a woman twice her age!

Comment by Perry — November 9, 2009 at 7:00 am

I think she looks pretty damn good! Much better than most of the science experiments usually seen on this site. She hasn’t altered (mangled?) her appearance like many have, to the point where you don’t even recognize them (yes, I’m looking at you, Meg R.). She still looks like herself. Whatever she’s doing, it’s subtle enough to avoid that “circus freak” look sported by so many these days.

Comment by gold jaguar — November 9, 2009 at 7:08 am

The wax version seems more realistic!

Comment by le — November 9, 2009 at 7:45 am

she looks amazing for her age, with all the surgery and makeup. Her surgery is done very well though, she doenst’ look that bad.

Comment by jak — November 9, 2009 at 7:51 am

i don’t know if I would say her face looks attractive. I’ve never really seen anyone else look like that at her age, so she does come across as non-human or a wax sculpture. The cheek implants are a little much, but still somehow this look is maybe preferable to wrinkles and sagging skin.

Comment by Mike — November 9, 2009 at 7:56 am

She looks good again — at least those cheek fillers settled a bit more. I think they were over aggressive dermal fillers and not cheek implants as the media thought. You can’t just “remove” cheek implants if you don’t like them. She should have left her cheeks alone, she looked quite natural and pretty until she over plumped them. Overall, she looks good, but it’s VERY obvious to anyone that knows what they’re looking for that she’s had dermal fillers and a subtle chin implant.

Comment by gurlina — November 9, 2009 at 8:17 am

The cheeks a bit overdone, but overall I think she looks terrific. What jars is that full beautiful face with a wizened body

Comment by P — November 9, 2009 at 8:22 am

I don’t see the chin implant.

Comment by shle896 — November 9, 2009 at 9:31 am

I think she looks terrific.. actually better than ever. Surgery or no surgery, who cares? We style our hair, put braces on our children, what’s the difference?

I feel the same way about Joan Rivers. Everybody criticizes her, but she’s the best looking 76 year old woman I’ve ever seen. Yes, you can tell she’s had surgery, but to me that is preferable to sagging, wrinkled and loose skin.

Comment by matilda — November 9, 2009 at 9:53 am

She looks great.

Comment by Ms. C — November 9, 2009 at 10:18 am

She looks great for 51! At least she doesn’t look like Jocelyn Wildenstein aka the Cat Lady!

Comment by Marieke — November 9, 2009 at 11:16 am

She looks much better than she did in 1990

Comment by MG — November 9, 2009 at 11:36 am

I also think she looks great. I am not a Madonna fan and never will be. But, she has a great surgeon who did a really nice job on her. I also do not see the chin implant. It is nice to see a celebrity getting cosmetic surgery, but not getting too carried a way with it. She still looks like herself.

Comment by RB — November 9, 2009 at 11:42 am

I guess you’re just hateful because everyone here says she looks great and I agree, she looks amazing. Most people don’t look this good in their 20’s.

Comment by suzanne — November 9, 2009 at 1:26 pm

I saw her on Letterman and I thought she looked awesome. I don’t like the cheek implants much, but she is super thin, so maybe she needs them. I think she looks amazing in her face-she just exercises too much and her body looks awful when she doesn’t cover it up. Her arms and loegs look ratty and veiny and she insists on wearing revealing clothes. Yeah, we get it Madonna, you work out alot. Now put some clothes on.

Comment by Rachel — November 9, 2009 at 1:27 pm

I dont like her cheeks they make her front teeth stick out like buck teeth. Other than that she looks good.

Comment by jak — November 9, 2009 at 1:39 pm

yep, the cheeks look not as perfect as they could be = good be better plastic surgery

Comment by methfreeq — November 9, 2009 at 1:55 pm

In a couple of years we will not see this creature anymore, just like Cher she will be a freak and will need to hide dispite all the money in the world.

Comment by Lola Granola — November 9, 2009 at 2:29 pm

If she chilled out on the incessant workouts, ate more, and got a good night’s sleep, she wouldn’t need any surgical procedures done. And her unnaturally puffy face wouldn’t be so out of step with the stringy, scrawny rest of her.

Comment by Cookie — November 9, 2009 at 3:03 pm

I really like visiting your website to see before & after pictures of celebrities. However, I would expect more knowledge on the subject of plastic surgery from the people running the website and providing the official comments. With the current example, contrarily to what you mentioned, Madonna did not get any chin implant – she has always had a prominent chin. It would be great to have relevant comments in addition to interesting pictures.

Comment by mamallama — November 9, 2009 at 3:13 pm

She does look different around the eyes–which I always thought were her most distinctive feature–but I wouldn’t mind looking like the after pic when I hit 51! I think the toned-down lip color looks better too.

Comment by lisa rossi — November 9, 2009 at 5:46 pm

she’ still a cum whore

Comment by Hottie — November 9, 2009 at 6:43 pm

Madonna is gorgeous, but she has never been a Megan Fox or Angelina-kindo beauty. She is more of a feminist symbol. Guess that’s why some men and women have problems in accepting her. She is more of a power symbol than a sex symbol. She undoubtably have the best surgeons of the celeb pack in their late middle ages. She can afford it, though! Good on her! :) Saying that she is a cum whore is just ignorant. Imagine where women could be today, if we did not put each other down like that… Good week, all!

Comment by CK — November 9, 2009 at 7:18 pm

She hasn’t looked like herself for some years now.

Comment by gds92115 — November 9, 2009 at 7:50 pm

she looks terrific in her latest incarnation, which she debuted on the MTV awards where she opened the show with her eloquent (and self serving) tribute to michael jackson). looks like facial fillers done right. its fun to goof on bad plastic surgery but in madonna’s case its quite good. she looks less italian now than she did when she was young.

Comment by Marjorie Flores from Ishcombobbido — November 9, 2009 at 9:56 pm

As anyone with two eyes can attest, the cheek implants are inexcusably bad – Sarah Jessica Parker’s are pretty bad but M’s just take the cake. (Also agree that there’s no chin implant – the chin just looks more prominent because of the cheek implants) It’s unfortunate because M was looking haggard around 2001-2003 and then she looked literally FLAWLESS at the 2004 Grammys after what seemed to be some conservative nips and tucks. She should have stopped then.

The only way she’d have aged more gracefully is if she’d kept a little baby weight after Rocco. She never looked better (naturally) than she did after his birth. But she’s basically an exercise bulimic (and I adore her, anyway) so to expect that would be fruitless.

Comment by shaniam — November 9, 2009 at 10:38 pm

I agree that Madonna’s arms may look too veiny and pumped but I she definitely looks better in the after picture. Her face is soft and quite pretty, especially for her age. I don’t think she looks unnatural at all!

Comment by LisaG — November 9, 2009 at 10:54 pm

I saw Madonna in 1990, her Blonde Ambition tour. She was the most amazing concert I had ever been to. She looks great, for 51, but her photo is also air brushed.

Who cares, she takes care of hersefl, and if she has work done, so be it. Anyone and everyone who is in the public spotlight are doing it.

Comment by Sono — November 10, 2009 at 6:53 am

Her face looks good, albeit air brushed in that picture. The problem isn’t her face, it’s everything below the neck…especially her arms…yuck.

Comment by Paul Wall — November 10, 2009 at 7:42 am

Airbrushed but she’s a mess. If every plastic surgeon dropped off the Earth I wouldn’t care, I accept who I am. All these people who coo over how good celebrities look AFTER plastic surgery, isn’t that why the celebs have it done? And usually they don’t look THAT good any way.

Comment by Good lard — November 10, 2009 at 10:45 am

That there happens to be a good picture of her. In the other pictures I’ve seen of her late self have been horrible. She does resemble Madonna… distantly. But she does not look good. She’s never been “beautiful” in the conventional way, that is not what I mean. I mean that she does not look younger, she looks merely cut and filled.

Comment by Grimmer — November 10, 2009 at 12:03 pm

The woman looks terrific. She is the Mae West of our generation.

Comment by Daisy — November 10, 2009 at 1:38 pm

I absolutely can’t stand this woman and never could, probably never will, BUT she looks absolutely amazing. She had some really good work done. I actually think she looks better now than she did in 1990 in the face. I will say her body is f***ed up. She needs to let up on her work outs and increase her calorie intake a bit….

Comment by fds — November 10, 2009 at 6:30 pm

And the worst part still: she’s just plain HIDEOUS.

Comment by fds — November 10, 2009 at 6:30 pm

@ Grimmer

Then what a sad, sad generation we live in. *snort*

Comment by KL — November 10, 2009 at 9:49 pm

She definitely has not had a chin implant, even if you didn’t know Madonna you could look at the 2 pictures and see it’s exactly the same. Madonna has always had a great jawline and square face shape I know b/c I used to stare at her pictures when I was little and magically wish I would look like her. Bad plastic surgery? Hardly. She looks fresh but not overdone. Her cheeks just make me think of Desperately Seeking Susan Madonna, which I love! I hope to take her strategy as a cue for when I need it. She looks great and her legs look like she’s in her 20’s. Lucky her.

Comment by KL — November 10, 2009 at 9:51 pm

Neither of those pictures are airbrushed, they’re both event photography- the latest one was on the Oscar after-party red carpet. So, that’s all her.

Comment by Lina — November 11, 2009 at 3:58 am

Madonan actually does look awful but this is a good picture of her and shouldbt be used for comparison..if u saw her without the lighting, its quite a sight to behold.I do agree she needs to chill with the workouts..starting to look like one starved robocop

Comment by MissJanet — November 11, 2009 at 4:44 am

She looks great.

Comment by aMBER — November 11, 2009 at 4:45 am

She looked better before, now shes just plastic and un-natural and the stick thin muscular body is hideous. And for god sake please put some clothes on! No one wants to see a woman in her 50s wabbling her bum around and flashing her crotch, its discusting.

Comment by Boof — November 11, 2009 at 7:08 am

I think she looks rather fresh and pretty for a 50-something. She looks better than some people in their 20’s. I do think she needs to gain a little weight and soften her body, because her body looks like Keith Richards.

Comment by Frankie — November 11, 2009 at 7:29 am

I’ve seen her on Letterman recently…you can see she had her face done like in this picture, but you can also see she’s getting old…it’s not like she overdone plastic surgery. What she needs to do is to gain some weight!

Comment by animalover — November 11, 2009 at 10:16 am

She looks good except for the chipmunk cheeks. I still dislike her immensely though. She is an egomaniac with man arms.

Comment by tony — November 11, 2009 at 2:39 pm

Madonna looks great – plastic surgery or not. If she has had “work done”, its well-done. She still looks like herself, her face is not contorted or mangled like some celebs….

Comment by tomtom — November 11, 2009 at 5:44 pm

Madonna Hey nineteen.

Comment by NYCFan — November 11, 2009 at 7:56 pm

Is everyone on here high? This woman is 51! She looks terrific. I’d like to see a 40 y/o woman who looks better never mind a 50y/o.

Comment by mamalicious — November 11, 2009 at 8:30 pm

I think she looks fantastic for 51.

Comment by gaby — November 11, 2009 at 11:43 pm

I think she’s beautiful and fresh for her age!

Comment by somuchstupidity — November 13, 2009 at 5:00 am

she just knows how to sell herself, that’s all. neither very beautiful nor a real artist, just a real business woman. as for the one saying madonna is a feminist, you should read some bell hooks.

Comment by Kendra — November 13, 2009 at 11:59 pm

A sign of good plastic surgery is not being able to tell that any was done. If you saw the second photo of Madonna and had never seen her before in your life, you wouldn’t know she had surgery — and you’d think she was at least 10 years younger.

Comment by Lita — November 17, 2009 at 12:04 pm

She looks alright. She should have went to Demi Moore’s plastic surgeon she looks eternally 30.

Comment by Sickitten — November 23, 2009 at 9:26 pm

She looks better now than then but looked best in her 20’s

Comment by starlinguk — December 2, 2009 at 10:45 am

She doesn’t have artificially plumped cheeks, she’s got really good bone structure. Women have such a strong bone structure tend to look younger for ages because it supports the skin.

Comment by Michael — January 23, 2010 at 5:13 pm

I really cant stand Madonna, she is self-aggrandizing phoniness personified. But, I think the plastic surgery she had done is good, not too much. But then, she was never a beauty to begin with. However, her body looks hideous. She probably doesnt eat and works out way too much, in her desperation to look “young”. She looks like Iggy Pop with boobs. Those stringy arms and ancient looking hands…she’s like “She” who had stepped into the flame once too often.

Comment by LMP — February 23, 2010 at 6:48 am

WHy does this site ALWAYS accuse people who have always had prominent or square chins of having a chin implant later in life? Look at them both people! it’s the EXACT SAME CHIN. One reason that chins become more prominent as we get older is that we lose fat from the face. It’s why a women’s cheeks can seem more prominent as well. Oh, but it’s so much easier to accuse people of Chin Implants too so why not? I have seen some male and female celebs getting a cleft added to their chin or even dimples added to their cheeks which isn’t difficult but both cheek or chin implants.. not as common as you think. It’s much easier for Celebs to simply have some fillers. I think you’re way wrong here.

Somebody mentioned Madge’s hag hands and feet. AGain, when you work out to the degree she does and keep your body fat percentage so low, it will make aging veins look more prominent. Madge’s solution of late is kinda cute if you ask me, she is popularizing the wearing of fingerless mesh gloves or fingerless lace gloves. You have to applaud her for that because there are some really stupid hand rejuvination procedures she could have tried.

Comment by Valllleeeee — March 1, 2010 at 2:23 pm

Sue me, I think she looks good. Plastic surgery done with finesse.
