why does she not even remotely resemble her earlier self? and i’ve never seen a ‘tweaker’ that gained weight like that until they were clean. she looks more like she sits in her double wide eating McDonald’s and cheap bon-bons. i wouldn’t recognize her at all, but she doesn’t look like a meth user at all.

Disagree with your assessment. 1) Her chin was always prominent and pointy. It’s the weight gains which added extra flesh around the neck and jawline that you may be interpreting as a chin implant. Look closely, the chin (the bone, the protrusion) is exactly the same. 2) Her nose is larger now, if anything. It doesn’t appear to have had cosmetic surgery work done on it and in fact, her original nose was quite petite, was fairly pointy, somewhat upturned with a bit of projection. I’d suspect any changes to her nose are the result of injuries in the boxing ring – there’s some recent dyssemtry which suggests she has had her nose broken. I actually prefer the new nose, which is slightly less projected and appears more natural.

She used to be a boxer breifly for few years. To me her nose looks bigger and less attractive than before, so it could be corrective/reconstructive from boxing injuries.

I cant say I see any sort of nose job or chin inplant on her. I think she is just one of those people that actually gain weight in the face. The jowl and chin area, making her chin look bigger. The end of her nose looks bulbose as though she’s a drinker, which could give the appearance of the bridge being shaved down.

She didn’t get any plastic surgery, After retiring from ice skating, she did a short stint as a professional boxer. That’s probably why her nose is flatter and her chin wider. Other than that, she just looks swollen and bloated.

She didn’t have plastic surgery on her nose. If anything, it looks bigger than it did in the 90’s. And one thing we all know is that a person’s nose and ears do not stop growing. She is just aging and her cute little nose from the 90’s is now just a middle-aged-lady-who’s-gained-weight’s nose. Her chin looks the same too. She’s a lot fatter, so her face, including her chin, looks fatter.

I don’t believe that Tonya has had surgery. I think the changes can easily be attributed to a substantial weight gain, bad genes, and a hard and fast lifestyle of alcohol and drug use. Still love her like a sister, though, as a fellow, timbertrash PacNWer.

I definitely think her weight gain and getting older has contributed to her changed appearance. I believe she probably did get a small nose job, however, I gain weight in my nose…it’s weird, I know.

This is how they all age. Maybe she’s had rhinoplasty, maybe not, but people’s noses get larger as they age. And I don’t know why anyone would get a nose job to make their nose wider.

Tanya was such a cute & talented skater who was led down the primrose path straight to hades because of the men in her life, perhaps with a touch of greed on her own part. Although it seems that folks focus way too much on any woman gaining any weight & not being a size 0 with perky DD breasts, Tanya isn’t puke inducingly (-F-A-T-), however her looks have gone awry due to the poorly done rounding of her nose & the gray pallor brought about from her drug use. She has a few wrinkles, but jeez, we all get them, they’re a natural thing brought on by aging & not so bad. What is awful is getting the full face lift to “erase” the signs of aging & then looking hideous a few years down the line where the docs can’t do anymore without making it impossible for you to frown & the once perky, young looking, rounded eyes are similar to an Asian squinting from sun glare. It’s sad that Tanya Harding has such a fouled up life & deluded herself into having rhinoplasty on a perfectly adorable snoot. Here’s hoping that she can get her life back into some semblance of normality laced with goodness. Whether or not she loses weight, she’s a pretty lady who made some bad choices in life but she may be able to experience redemption before all is lost. I’m hoping she can get back to teaching the little kids to skate, & I think it would be super cool if she could do so for children who are impoverished or are suffering under the neglectful sadness of drug addicted parents. I have hope for her yet & am a bit thankful that she hasn’t got the money to “fix” anything else on her body, with losing her drug habit & getting back onto the ice to tone up would be the best thing for her, not throwing money to a doc who will turn her into a plasticine nightmare…

You have this in reverse. Her nose is more rounded now than it was then. Everything is thicker in her face now. She had a very thin, pointy nose in the past as indicated by your own photo. I cannot believe that I am debating the intricacies of her appearance but I’ve done sillier things.

This face reminds me of Kathleen Turner now. She has turned from one of the seiest and prettiest women in Hollywood in the 80’s and early 90’s (jewel of the nile, etc) into a fat nosed, bloated, ugly woman. She also looks like a prize fighter now. These photos are awful. Yuck! I also find it hard ot believe she would take a pixie nose and make it fat. She looks like a pig.

From a surgery point of view, her new nose is really, really, interesting. It’s totally natural – it even looks like a lot of ‘before’ photos. And she had quite a harsh, sculpted nose before. I’d love to know who did this – or how. I’ve never seen anything quite like it before.
Paige, another commentator. even denied she’d had surgery because her nose wasn’t ‘filed down or smaller’, but that’s the whole point – her bigger, blobbier nose is so unusual and so natural.

I was a big fan of hers when I was in elementary school (early 90s.) Always liked her more than Kerrigan. Tonya was such an athletic skater and showed that even a trailer park girl could become glamorous and successful. Sad that she ended up like this

The girl had so much going for her but she threw it away and continues to blame others for her down fall, very sad. Oy vey, Tina Louise was so gorgeous when she was on Broadway in the 1950s. Even then she had a not-so-hot nose job, but the rest of her face was so breathtaking, one forgave the bad surgery. She co-starred with Julie Newmar (who looks fantastic currently) and Newmar has one of the greatest bodies of all time so it may be that Louise, who had chunky legs, keeps herself ultraslim so that her bottom matches her top. Whatever her story, she probably would have been a beautiful older woman had she avoided the nips and tucks and injections. Another sad story. Pllus, will someone tell her that dyed red-hair cut in bangs is totally inappropriate.

Tonya was adorable when she was 12 or 13 with her little braces, back when she was an olympic alternate.
I’m orginally from this part of Oregon, and most people just don’t get plastic surgery in Oregon!!!
Ha ha ha! They just wish for it.
Unless it’s corrective surgery and breast reductions are everywhere in Oregon.

I am sorry, but this is NOT a pic of a bad nose job…why can’t people keep their big noses out of everybody elses business….if she had a nose job, SO WHAT. Thousands do it every day. SO WHAT if she wears bangs, what does it matter to you…we might not like your haircut either. Let people alone and let them be who they chose to be…this kind of talk could cause someone to commit suicide if they are depressed enough. I don’t approve of drugs, but millions do them everyday. That is all HOLLYWOOD is good for gossip about who is doing what….they want to get you out there and make you popular and then shove you to the wolves which is people like you…oh, you see, it won’t matter, there will be another young person to come along and take that one’s place and who cares about what happens to the other one, lets just talk about her. That is all this world thinks about anymore is who is hot….if we don’t all quit gossiping and pray for her, prayer changes things and could save her soul and she would straighten up…Let’s all get our minds on Jesus Christ our savior…or you all will be HOT in eternal hell.

There’s definitely no recent plastic surgery here – no nose job, no chin (or other) implants. All humans’ nones and ears continue to grow throughout life, even moreso after menopause. Her nose has just grown into it’s natural size for her age, slightly more bulbous due to alcohol abuse, perhaps. Her chin has the same shape as in her ‘before’ photo, just slightly larger due to age, weight gain, and some addition of jowels as she’s moving into mid-life. All of these changes are natural.

What is interesting, though, is the nose in the ‘before’ photo. That nose does look sculpted – or at least unnaturally sharp and pointed. Did she have a rhino done back when she started skating, maybe to “improve” her looks while trying for the Olympics? If so, maybe some of what some people seem to be seeing as recent new work might be subtle evidence of some very old work not aging well?

I don’t believe she had a nose job, that’s what happens when you drink heavily. Some people get that flat look from snorting coke. I’m not saying she does, but it happened to Yasmine Bleeth. Acromegaly and roseaca can
also cause widening and thickening of the nose. As for the mean comments about Kathleen Turner, I read that she’s
been ill for a long time, and had to take steroids that destroyed her looks.
