I recently saw some new photos of Gwyneth Paltrow and thought,”Gee, she looks hard.”
Her skin looked waxen, slickly tight, and too smooth. When her mouth smiled, her eyes stayed transfixed; they did not smile with her.
I wouldn’t be shocked to learn that Gwyneth has been under the knife. Her face resembles that of a statue (unlined, even conveying expression). I also believe that she had something done to her eyes. Look at her eyes in the first photo on the left. Then look at the photo on the right. She has the same smile in both, but in the picture on right, the smile does not make it all the way up to her eyes (or forehead which appears immobile), which have less aging under them. Overall, her eyes look smaller which usually indicated that some sort of eye work has been done.

I think she looks the same in both photos–only her makeup is different. And you call that “smiling?” Barely! That’s why her forehead and eyes haven’t moved. Give it a try… make a little smirk and look in the mirror. |
It doesn’t look so much like surgery as it does her meanness and snobbery beginning to show on her face. |
Her eyes look different because in the first one she is wearing false lashes and the other she isn’t. Also, she’s wearing liner on the inside of her eye lids in the second picture, which always makes eyes look smaller. No work done there. |
The new look is cold & unsexy. |
I think it’s the eye makeup making her eyes look smaller. Dark eyeliner that goes all the way around the eyes will make them look smaller. In the before pic, she has long fake lashes in the outer corners to help make her eyes look bigger, plus lighter eye makeup. I do see that the “crow’s feet” smile lines are missing from the eye area in the after pic, though. Maybe just botox is helping out with that, though, I didn’t think there’s been any serious surgery there. |
Wouldnt it be the black eye liner which makes her eyes smaller in the “after” picture. I think this time its makeup. |
I stared and stared and I do not see it. Her hair is a different color. Her eyes look the same to me. Her forehead is a bit shiny, but that is a camera angle. Her mother is is still beauitful and looks young for her age. I think she has good genetics and takes good care of herself, period. |
O NOEZ! She had taken all of the character out of her face. |
Seems to me the black eyeliner rimming the inner lid also makes eyes look a lot smaller. |
I think the difference is (barring makeup and hair colour changes) that in the first one, she’s making a genuine smile, which lights up the face and makes anyone look warmer and more accessible….and in the second, it looks like she’s just smiling for the camera. She doesn’t look like she’s had any surgeries to me. |
I think it is the make up that ‘appears’ to give her eyes a different look. Her waxy look, could also be attributed to her tan having faded and the flashes from the cameras reflecting back. Because she has more lines in the photo on the right than on the left. |
they’re just taken in totally different lighting – apart from that there is NO DIFFERENCE. You really are scraping the barrel with some of these. |
I agree with the eyeliner comments. Lining the eyes correctly with black liner wiill enlarge them. But if you completly encircle the eye, it will close it in and make your eyes appear smaller. I have accidentally done it many times myself. |
she wasn’t any prettier before… |
i think she has definitely had subtle work done…C’mon, she idolizes her friend Madonna who is a plastic surgery queen now…i think she has had a nose job (way in the past) and lots & lots of botox now & she has probably lost weight which changes the face…she is just not a pretty girl. |
She also bares a breast in a new movie. Of course Gywnnie can birth 2 kids & still have pert pointy breasts!! Only us mere mortals lose shape & muscle tone with the swelling, breast feeding & shrinkage afterwards. |
I don’t think she’ had surgery between the two pictures – she’s died her hair more platinum and is wearing some seriously vicious eyeliner in the second one. Also, if you look at her cheeks she actually has some normal aging going on. I actually prefer the second “Ice Princess” look to the other “warm and pretty and oh so boring” shot. |
i think she had the eye bags removed and applied some botox, but this one looks good |
I am just glad that there is no sound. Her dopey mouth opening and shit piling out would ruin my laughing buzz… |
Black make-up makes eyes smaller and sunken, whereas white shiny make-up makes them pop. And there exist 2 kinds of smiles: the sincere one, which involves eye expression and the “fake” smile that only involves the mouth. A star must always smile in public, even if they feel like it or not. Guess she wasn’t in a good mood in photo2, but was doing her job. I know I’d personally get sick of being forced to smile all my life, whenever people are around… She’s hardened of age. Nothing more. And the blonde hair makes her skin complexion look weird. She’s better off with the warm blonde, rather than this ash one. |
You need to accept that people age and she probably didn’t have any surgery. I think she looks good for her age, maybe her skin is changing but it does as you get older. She has a very tight smile which makes the skin look weird and has darker makeup which makes her skin look different to… |
This poor “woman” lacks of sexual charisma!! She’s just UGLY!!! |
after looking at all the other freak-show pictures on this site it’s refreshing to see a real person. Nothing wrong with her before or after pics IMHO. |
I think she looks warmer and happier in the first photo…sometimes youth gives a certain spirit…and I don’t personally think she’s all that happy these days… |
There’s a few of these, like Gwynneth, where I cannot tell anything has been done. She’s beautiful then as now. I thought Madonna looked better but people keep saying she looks worse. |
I don’t think she had any knife work done, maybe needle work, or laser work. The makeup is horrid as is the color of her hair, it washes her out and gives no warmth. For all her clean eating, her skin doesn’t reflect it… Yes, rimming the eyes in black makes them smaller and brings them closer together. Why women and makeup artists don’t know that is beyond me. Black pencil in the lower lid is the worst thing for enhancing age. It mimics and calls attention to the natural aging process, the bags, the drooping. Remember ladies, keep the liner on the outer upper lid… don’t put in near the nose! Keep the focus on the outer eye and up. That equals youth and beauty. Remember, rimming the eyes makes them look closer together and smaller! NOT good! |
Okay her hair is a much cooler shade of blonde and she is paler, what am I missing? |
