I first thought Mary looked “different” for the last year of The Mary Tyler Moore show, the 1976-77 series. Her eyes look like they had some kind of lift done, her makeup was raccoon-like. The Dick Van Dyke reunion was party unwatchable because she sat there zombie-like as if she couldn’t even move her face. In the pic above, though, for someone in their early ’70s and all made up, I think she looks rather pretty.

just saw MTM on Leno. Wow, I C she had a boob job, face lift and neck skin tension. Lots of work but she still looks like a wreck. Too bad. She looks around 58 so I guessthat’s okay but when she speaks it’s like your grandmother and gives away te fact that she’s been around the world.

Diabetics have serious issues with blood flow and healing. Elective surgery would be incredibly risky, especially as one ages, as age in itself lends itself to delayed healing. Both diabetes and age leaves a great risk for developing keloids. As such an outspoken woman for diabetics I would hope she’s not taking any foolish risks for the sake of vanity.

Wow, i don’t know who looks worse, her or Joan Rivers. It’s sad, she looks horrible, why not accept that you are goign to get old and stop trying to defy it? just eat right, take vitamans and work out?? i’m sure she’s starving herself.

This is the thing, some people do not age well. MTM is one of them. Years ago, about 15, I saw her walking in Central Park. We were walking in opposite directions. She was wearing shorts, and I have got to say she did not look good, her body’s skin, at least her legs, was saggy and wrinkly. Women like MTM would have done themselves a lot of good to have eaten more fish, to have gotten the good fats, the omega-3 fats. It really protects you from aging that way. I heard, or read (I don’t remember), an interview of Lena Horne’s, it was years ago, too–she said that the reason why she had no wrinkles was because she ate a lot of salmon. Don’t be afraid of fats, they will help you age gracefully. Of course, they have got to be the good fats. Check out the website wapf [dot] org (or is it “com”?) It is for the Weston A. I disagree with the first post who not surprisingly is a doctor, of what may I ask Plastic Surgery????
Although I think MTM does look pretty scary I cannot help but love her for some reason and I don’t even know her.

MTM has had a LOT of work done over the years. The nose, yes. And her eyes have looked hollowed out for many years now. Not to mention the too-big teeth. She was beautiful before all that work, and so talented. Now I can barely look at her.
